They have an interesting history which is based o the first stocking frames designed by the Reverend William Lee in 1589.
His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge was carefully wapped in a shawl for his first public outing. It is believed to be knitted on Hurt's more modern Stoll flat knitting machines manufactured by H. Stoll GmbH & Co. KG, of Reutlingen, Germany.
Personal Opinion: It's too bad it wasn't hand knitted. :-)
