I wish I had time to to take a few of these classes!
I will be teaching a class at Yarnosphere called Understanding Japanese Symbols for Knitting and Crocheting on Sunday, October 13, 10:30 to 1:30 pm. I'm really looking forward to this. Yo Furuta former distributor of Clover and Nihon Vogue magazines got me started in the early '90's when I was working on my Master's degree at Cal State Long Beach. This really opens up for learning unique stitch patterns and anything else you want to make. It's a lot of fun once you connect the stitches with their symbols. No need to read Japanese! You heard of the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words."
