Sunday, October 13, I'll be at Yarnosphere in Costa Mesa teaching how to translate Japanese knit and crochet patterns. We will learn about symbols, designating various stitches and how to read stitch patterns in a chart. These symbols are international and used in Japan, Europe and now popular in the U.S. We'll learn how to interpret the diagrams and have the opportunity to swatch a few knit and crochet stitch patterns. This will help you become more comfortable using charts. If you have any Japanese patterns you are puzzled about, please bring them with you.
